As you may realize by now, one of the most important pieces of our process is the strategic plan and the most valuable piece of the strategic plan is your personal and business goals. Without understanding your goals, we cannot construct a plan for reaching them and without a plan, how will we know where to go next? Goals without action steps are just dreams.
Succession planning will usually come directly from your goals and during our discovery work, we will ascertain in which direction you want to head. Do you want to sell your practice to another advisor outside your firm or to someone within your firm? If you don't have that person in place, we can begin a search for this individual...someone who has many of the same values you do so you know your clients will be taken care of in a manner similar to yours.
If you don't have a succession plan in place currently, we will explore temporary succession options. However, together will get something in place whether it be permanent or temporary because if you're like most entrepreneurs, your business is a large piece of your estate and as such needs to be protected.
